Concessions / Concesiones de Comida

Concessions is band's top fundraiser of the year, every year. The BPAs of all 7 NEISD high schools run concessions for all district sporting events, as well as other events hosted at NEISD facilities. While football is the biggest sport for concessions, there are many others:

If you are bilingual, and willing to help translate for other workers, we need your help even more! Everyone should have the opportunity to volunteer and we will work to make sure that language isn’t a barrier.

What to wear:

Health code requires closed-toe shoes and hats/caps (pony tails must be tucked in, not hanging out the back). Visors do not meet health code. If you forget your cap, we will supply a hair net.

Where to go:

For events at Comalander Stadium and Heroes Stadium, go to the gate near the ticket booth. For events at other locations, go to the ticket booth and they can direct you to the concessions stand. You do not pay to get into the game.

What to do:

Arrive at the concessions stand, sign in, and ask "How can I help?" If you are new, tell us! We'll show you what to do. If you have a favorite concessions job, tell us. We'll get you set up. Each event has experienced concessions workers who are there to help you get started (and after a few times you’ll be the experienced one).

Each worker may get food and drink at no charge (within reason, of course).

Football game concessions open 1 hour prior to game start. Other events open 30 minutes before game time. It takes time to prep food so we ask you to arrive early (see the sign-up event for details).

Plan to sell through the end of 3rd quarter for most sports. You may take breaks but plan to be there during halftime (busiest part of the game) and communicate with the volunteer coordinator when you take a break so we are covered until you return.

Concesiones es la mejor recaudación de fondos de la banda del año, todos los años. La Asociación de Padres de las 7 escuelas secundarias de el distrito de NEISD tienen concesiones para todos los eventos deportivos del distrito, así como otros eventos organizados en las instalaciones de NEISD. Que ponerse:

Dónde ir:

Que hacer:

Llegue al puesto de concesiones y pregunte “Cómo puedo ayudar?” Si es nuevo, dinos para mostrarle que hacer. Si tienes un trabajo favorito en concesiones, cuéntenos. Lo pondremos en esa tarea. Cada evento tiene voluntarios experimentados, y están allí para ayudarle a comenzar. Después de unas cuantas veces usted será el voluntario con experiencia.

Cada voluntario puede obtener comida y bebida gratis (dentro de lo razonable, por supuesto).

Las concesiones de juegos de futbol americano abren 1 hora antes del inicio del juego. Otros eventos abren 30 minutos antes de el comienzo del juego. La preparación de la comida lleva tiempo, por lo que le pedimos que llegue temprano (para más detalles, mire el evento de registro).

Planee vender hasta el final del tercer cuarto del juego para la mayoría de deportes. Puede tomar descansos, pero planee estar allí durante el medio tiempo. Es la parte más ocupada de venta de comida. Consulte con el coordinador de voluntarios cuando tome un descanso para que cubra su lugar hasta que regrese.
